Custom Dining Table for Heather

I wanted to share this fun round drop-leaf dining table that I recently finished for a client.

She saw this little pedestal table on our "Unfinished Inventory" page and knew it would be a perfect addition to her home.

The table is finished in our "vintage white", then distressed and waxed with our dark chocolate patina wax.

I love how it turned out. It's the perfect little size!

Unique + Beautiful Refinished Dining Table - SOLD

For those of you who contacted me out of sadness that yesterday's table was scooped up so fast, here's another one to consider!

This ENORMOUS table is a whopping 100 inches long with its leaves in. {That's over 8 feet long for those of you who are mathematically challenged} ;)

The table itself is 64" long x 43" wide with each leaf being 18". Pretty sure you wouldn't have any problem hosting the Holidays at your house this year with this versatile table!

Its a lovely french vintage style table that's been painted in our custom teal, distressed and waxed with a dark chocolate brown. Check out how the wax just highlights the beautiful grain of the wood. The tabletop and two leaves have been refinished in "Early American" and sealed with multiple coats of poly. Very durable if you have little ones!

Pretty little dresser - SOLD

What is not to love about this petite little side table? This very versatile piece makes the perfect night stand or side table. I love the 3 drawers for stashing away keys, shoes, clothes, toiletries, makeup, whatever! This would also be perfect in a kid's room or play room... Lord knows those toys can get out of control!

It's painted in our very own "Vintage White" and distressed to highlight the lovely details of it's ornate design. Don't you love the scroll work? So subtle and pretty. Original vintage pulls really complete the look of this piece. A great mix of
vintage and modern.

This incredible table... where do I begin?

I am so smitten that I think I'm speechless {and that certainly doesn't happen very often... Just ask my husband.}

I picked up this too-amazing-for-words table at an estate sale and knew immediately that it was perfect. Love at first sight!

I completely refinished the top and stained it with a Chestnut/Walnut blend to show all of the amazing character of the wood. I love the warmth of the color.

The super-unique turned legs, which I'm going to have a hard time parting with, are painted in our olive + hazel "vintage white" and distressed.

Custom Teal Mismatched Dining Chairs

I just finished another custom order for dining chairs and this might be my favorite yet! I am so excited to show you all :)

I've been working on a client's dining room revamp and the couple recently purchased an amazing {and HUGE} rustic table from Pottery Barn. It expands to something like 9 or 10 feet long! This definitely called for LOTS of fun chairs.

TEN to be exact.

When discussing the plan, we decided that mis-matched was the way to go. It's fun, it's unique, it's one-of-a-kind. Everything is tied together through color and fabric so it looks like one uniform set. But each chair has it's own story, patina, and unique look.

My favorite thing about mis-matched dining rooms?

If you ever expand your family.... or even need more seating for a huge dinner party, it's so easy to add to your collection at any time by finding another fun chair and finishing it with the same paint and fabric.

Hello everyone! :)

The hubby and I had a busy and productive weekend completely cleaning my "workshop" and reorganizing our storage area. We installed some new cabinetry to stow away all of our tools and supplies, and I have to say! It's all looking pretty fancy! It hardly feels like a garage anymore.

Along the way, I finally got around to snapping pictures of all of the fun finds that we've picked up this summer. Ready and waiting for your customization!

Multi-colored custom chairs!

I've recently begun working with a new design client who has an absolutely beautiful house in the Southeast Metro. On her list of areas in her home to "tackle", was her amazing gourmet kitchen with a large eat-in, informal dining space. She found the perfect "pottery barn" style table at the Goodwill and ordered it to be refinished by us. {Stay tuned for it's reveal!}
Then for the chairs! I stumbled upon a great Vintage Ethan Allen dining set with 6 lovely Queen Anne style chairs. She was sold!
The client really wanted lots of vibrant pops color to brighten up her very formal kitchen. These chairs turned out to be so much fun! We decided on these unique custom olive + hazel colors with light distressing and bold, durable outdoor fabric on the seats for her 2 kiddo's.

FOR SALE: Lovely Teal Accent Table w/ Sewing Machine - $150

Check out this distressed aqua console table! I recently picked up this amazing piece and immediately fell in love. I've always loved vintage pieces with a purpose. This one was a Sewing table with an adorable olivey copper colored antique sewing machine still intact. When I was told that the machine still works.... DONE! I snatched it up right away!

It's painted in our signature olive + hazel teal, distressed to perfection and glazed to highlight all of those awesome crevices in the legs. MMM. Love it.

This is perfect for a foyer or entry to be used as a console table. Cute little box on top for keys. Basket underneath for shoes. You're set to go!
This also makes a lovely writing/laptop desk, a vanity or a side table. I have one in our Master Bedroom with a cute patterned laundry bin underneath.

I'm sure you remember the lovely antique table and buffet that sold a couple of weeks ago. And as promised, here are the custom chairs that they ordered! I just love the mismatched look. My clients chose a luxurious dark charcoal grey velvet and it really pops off of the subtle white.
They wanted just a touch of light distressing to match the table and buffet.

It's elegant yet whimsical... vintage meets modern. LOVE it! It was definitely bittersweet to see these leave the house! I was getting used to having these in our dining room!

Gorgeous Distressed Buffet - SOLD

You asked for it... I answered! Many of you have been emailing to see when I am going to do another white distressed buffet like the few I did last fall that flew out of here faster than I could believe. Here you go :) And I have another one coming soon too... so stay tuned!

This buffet is seriously awesome. It's ornate carvings and details are endless. It is painted in an antique soft white and distressed through to that cool raised scroll work. It has it's original oil-rubbed-bronze hardware, 4 doors, a silverware/serving drawer, shelves and LOADS of storage. This solid piece is HEAVY! It will last you for years and years to come.

Ultra-distressed china hutch - SOLD

Oh. My. Oh. My. Oh. My. Where to begin with this one?! This might be my absolute. favorite. piece. e.v.e.r.
I picked up this awesome vintage china hutch about a year ago and have been back and forth on how to finish it ever since. Aqua? Rustic Red? White? Chalk paint? No chalk paint? Distressed? Lacquered?



I finally buckled down and decided on a classic heirloom white and hours and hours AND HOURS of distressing this baby. I didn't want this one to have a subtle rub-through distressing like so many of my other pieces. I wanted this to look like it had been through the wringer with years of wear.

Unique Barn Door Red + Aqua Kitchen Accessory Set! - SOLD

Oh my goodness. So anyone who's been in my kitchen knows that I'm kind of a sucker for a good "pop" of color. And I'm also pretty notorious for painting just about anything I can get my hands on. Bread boxes, knife blocks, wooden signs, spice racks.... all of the above are prominently displayed in my kitchen. Simply put... I'm obsessed with anything "functional yet stylish". This one is for all of you out there who like a good "pop" or color and furniture that really stands out. This distressed aqua + cream pedestal table is SO fun and unique.  Okay... I think you guys are really going to love this one! It reminds me of the super unique curvy-legged dining table that sold as fast as I could get it posted a few weeks ago. I came across this adorable octagonal accent table recently and immediately snatched it up! I knew with it's gorgeous curves and cool overall silhouette, it would look amazing in a sleek charcoal grey and distressed just a touch.

I really love how it turned out! If you don't know already, I'm obsessed with all things gray and yellow, so I had to stage it with some lovely yellow tulips! Happy Spring!

MAKEOVER: A Tiny Minneapolis Kitchen

My hubby and I recently had the pleasure of taking on a kitchen redesign in Southwest Minneapolis. This tiny, dated, dark, Linden Hills kitchen really needed a face lift. Years of use, dogs and kids had taken it's toll on the cupboards and doors... and with limited storage space, we definitely had our work cut out for us!

I'm so excited to share my latest transformation with you! This dining table is so beautiful! It's one of those pieces that is hard to come by for it's amazing distinctive features. I wish they still made furniture like this. Thoughtfully. Every carving, every detail was so thought out.
 I came across it last year right before winter hit and wanted so badly to get started on it right away, but the garage gets too cold here in MN. Our winter ended up lasting a whopping 7. MONTHS. {yes, that's what I said} finally going out with a bang in May after 3 snowstorms in 3 weeks. YUCK. Why do I live here again?
Needless to say, I was SO excited when everything started melting and the garage warmed up! This was first on the list! I wish I could keep it! I know this piece will completely transform someone's dining room and I can't wait to see who ends up with it!

Last year I finished a really cool chalkboard top pedestal table and posted it for sale. It wasn't long before this great couple, Tiffany and Craig, came along and snatched it up! They were building a home and knew that it would work well for their adorable family of 5.

They recently closed on their house and came by to pick everything up. I love how they all turned out!
